Understanding the Disparities Data
NEW! Racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19 child mortality for the United States have just been added.
There is a great deal of interest in racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19, but unfortunately very little data are available for children and teens. Currently only two states (California and Illinois) report COVID-19 case counts for kids by race and ethnicity. Even in those states, one-third of the cases are missing race and ethnicity information. We will continue to update and expand this page as more data become available.
